I keep getting this error but my logs are different each time, I'm using the AMD encoder, so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is.

This log has no recording attempt in it. Try to record something. If error raised then upload the log-file (only then close OBS).

Hello everyone,
i am facing the very same problem here. I freshly installed OBS and tried to record a window, but the moment i click on recording i get the very same error message "Starting The Output Failed Check Log For Info. Note: If You Are Using HVENC Or AMD Encoders Make Sure Drivers Are Up To Date". Actually nothing is recorded.

After checking the logfile i don't get any further insight into why the recording fails. This is the last log file i got:

As you can see in the log i am using a relatively old system, but it is stable and drivers are up-to-date as far as possible.

Do you see any information on why the recording does not work and how to solve that issue?

Hi qhobbes,
thank you very much. Yes that solved the problem!
May i ask what has changed since that version and is causing to fail in the newer version on my system?
