File contains no video data?

I'm using the HEVC encoder and when it records just fine, I can open it in the media player and everything. But when I try putting it into my editing software (Corel Videostudio x10) it says that the file contains no video data. FLV and TS file types import just fine, but why don't MP4 and MOV import into the software? It works when I convert it with handbrake but it takes a really long time to convert it and is incredible inconvenient. Is there a fix to this or should I just continue converting footage with Handbreak?

First, you should NEVER record directly to MP4 or MOV. They are NOT recording-safe formats, and many editing suites have issues with the MP4/MOVs that OBS outputs directly.
If you need multi-track audio, record to MKV and then remux to MP4 from the File menu, Remux Recordings. It takes seconds, is FAR safer, and generally the remuxed output works fine in most editors.
