Requires CLRHost Plugin(included in archive) to operate
Make sure that your username is your Twitch name in all lowercase and that your password is your full oAuth token(including oauth:) from http://www.twitchapps.com/tmi/
I realize that another plugin is being developed for Twitch chat overlay. I'm not trying to steal sickbattery's thunder, I think he's got something great on his hands. However, I started working on this a bit before he posted his up and just now feel that it's worth someone else's time other than mine.
Basically, it all comes down to the fact that I want a chat overlay that resizes when I change scenes(which isn't really easy with the 3rd party capture) and I want it to display emoticons. I've got most of that now, so let me share it with you:)
Features:
Automatically connects to twitch's irc server using your user name and oAuth token
Handles username colors
Handles emoticons available to all members
Known Problems:
User colors don't always get caught...not sure if it's a problem on my end as it catches em again after the User does a color change. They default to red right now if it doesn't catch it.
It's pretty rough right now, so please bear with it.
Oh, and here's a sample of what it can output(transparent background...the background is just part of my overlay):)
