It seems like every time I boot my Mac Mini 2018 i3 I start OBS new and the cameras are all blank and I have to go back and search for the camera and find it which is not easy when you have five pairs of stereoscopic cameras three of which need to be used at once.
I'm thinking it might be a naming issue because at most I need six cameras running simultaneously (three left eyes, three right eyes) usually one piece of video game footage, and a chat transcript.
When I give the cameras their names should I give them the name of the actual location they're at because there are five different locations and that might take more room and memory, or should I give the three different simultaneous cameras three different names based on their function like FaceCam, HandCam, and MoneyCam. And have those same three names be different from seeing the scene so that they all could pop up and use the same three cameras?
Also if I don't need to change scenes in the middle of a broadcast, is it better to leave them as separate scene selections each with one scene or is it better to have all the scenes in one scene selection? It seems like having separate scenes in the same scene selection seems to access the cameras faster.
I always have to set up an extra 15 minutes before I stream to make sure all the cameras are right.
I just want the easiest "set it and forget it" mode. I don't want to have to find all the different same name cameras and peek through them all, because Mac OS doesn't allow you to rename cameras because they're not technically hard drives.
