as of OBS Studio - 28.0.3-browser-3 (linux, Arch + AUR)
the image slide show asset does not fade slides out, it only fades them in and then cuts them at the end of their slide duration. expected behavior is that slides will fade in, and then fade out over the next slide fading in achieving the "crossfade" effect. this post also details this same behavior on windows.
on my current version, no combination of "random playback" and the "always play/pause/stop when not visible" options seems to help. has anyone else found a remedy for this issue? the advice to uncheck/recheck the "randomize playback" box did not help.
