Hello i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a plugin or someway of using the camera control function to operate the pan, tilt of a logitech camera? Mine is a usb only and the pan, tilt is greyed out on obs studio. The other thing's work great as far as contrast, zoom etc...

LWS is no longer used.
Logitech now has Logitech Capture which replaces the old drivers and you control pan, tilt etc...Like the old version, you must be zoomed in to use those functions.. Check it out here...https://support.logitech.com/en_roeu/downloads
I use it and now I can use two c920's and control them separately..
I think you'll like it.

Thanks, for the response i did try logicapture but it didnt recognize my camera i have a ptzpro2. Not sure why i assumed maybe that program only worked with certian cameras. On yours were you able to use logicapture and obs at the same time??

NO, you can't use them both at the same time.
Capture installs new drivers that can be used with OBS...
Just try adding the camera in OBS without Capture running...
You will then have the controls you need in camera properties...

I use it with two c920's...

I installed Logitech Capture but it seems it really does not recognize the PTZ Pro 2 at all. Even if the application is the only one running. Or am I doing something wrong? Restarting Win10 won't help.

I'm trying to use two PTZ Pro 2s with OBS Studio. It works as simple cameras, no problem, but is there any way to control the camera PTZ functions?
Running the Logitech controller seems to block them from access in OBS Studio, it seems only one program can access the cameras at a time.

I have a partial workaround.
The Logitech Camera Settings software which offers the pan/tilt/zoom control shows the video feed which blocks this from the OBS software, it seems only one application can access the video at a time. However if I launch OBS Studio and bring up a scene that shows both the cameras I have, before launching the Logitech Camera Settings app, I get the video stream in OBS with the now blind control available in the Camera settings app. I'm running two monitors so while it's clumsy, it works.
I'm hoping to either convince Logitech to create an OBS plugin or give me the info I need to do it myself.

Logitech Capture does not work with the PTZ Pro 2. Logitech Capture is a "soft" PTZ program and actually works by scaling and cropping the raw feed. It does not command the servos on PTZ cameras like the PTZ Pro 2 or the Conference Camera.

Instead, as you discovered, you need to use the Logitech Camera Settings app. As Tim said, you need to start OBS first, then you can start settings. This is because Settings does not have a virtual camera driver, like Logitech Capture, and so can't relay video to OBS. Of course, the preferred method of controlling the PTZ Pro is the IR remote control. If you don't have the IR remote control that shipped with the camera, you can use a Logitech Harmony; it includes codes for the PTZ Pro.

And if you want to adjust white balance, focus, or exposure settings on the fly, I'd definitely recommend installing the Logitech Camera Settings software.

So; Logitech Capture does not work with the PTZ Pro 2, but Logitech Camera Settings does; however, there is a problem with it, which is (very strange!!) that when you click on a control, the camera does nothing. It only works when you release the mouse button. Pan and Tilt move for about 0.2 seconds, Zoom for about 3 seconds. Which is wierd. If you had a car that responded only when you released the controls, e.g. when you lift your foot off the gas, or let go of the steering wheel, you'd find yourself round a tree pretty quickly. I've tried this with 2 cameras on 3 Windows 10 machines, and (eventually) Logitech have admitted the issue. To my mind, this makes it almost useless. It's really strange, (the Remote unit works as you'd expect, but that's no use to me) and they tell me that they're not going to fix it. Instead, they're going to fix Logitech Capture so that it supports the PTZ Pro; but until this happens I'm afraid I'm giving up on Logitech, which is a real pity. The hardware's great, and it would take them 5 minutes to fix Camera Settings. I despair! What's the point of a PTZ camera which you can't get to P,T or Z? And no plugin for OBS? What are they thinking?? I can't imagine that producing the software is harder than creating the hardware here.

I have the same issue, Pan/Tilt is grayed out in OBS.
The "Configure Video" dialog is provided by the webcam driver and not OBS

(Other PTZ plugins only work with network camera's while the Logitech Rally is a USB camera)
