@glikely, this is an amazing plugin and was working great but, yesterday, the context menu on my cameras stopped showing the "Power OFF" option. The cameras only show "Power On" and they are already on and the video is showing up in OBS.

All was working fine before yesterday. I have not installed anything new. Anyone else having this issue? I have restarted computer, switch and cycled the power on the cameras all to no avail.

Thansk in advance for any help.

To fix this required me to remove all of my NDI PTZ camera sources from all scenes, remove them from PTZ Control, restart OBS and then add all the NDI sources back to my scenes and reconnect PTZ controls. So far the power on/off feature seems to be working.

v0.15.4

I double click on the device name but can't edit the name. There is no response to the clicks.

Today I installed PTZ controls to control a HikVision PTZ camera. It only seems to accept ONVIF.
But in the camera selection I cannot select ONVIF. I did read about some ONVIF compatibility though... Any ideas ?

thanx!

Has anyone used a Stream Deck to control this plugin? If so how? The preset hotkeys would work, but the only option I can find is to use Source Visibility. That makes the camera live on the stream. I need to change the preset before it is sent to program. I'm using an ATEM Mini Pro with 4 cameras to OBS and OBS handles the stream. I can manually click the presets in the plugin and that worked well today, but I'm hoping to "volunteer" prep it to make things easier to understand.

Hello everyone. I added a PTZ Pro 2 from logitech. It is well recognized by windows on the COM05 port.
But when I press 'APPLY', obs crashes.
Any suggestion ?
NB: I didn't touch the VISCA ID

Is it possible to control brightness/exposure with this plugin or what do people use to do this in OBS if you are using this plugin?

Hello
I have this Camera
SV3C 4K PTZ WiFi Security Camera Outdoor, 8MP Wireless IP Dome Camera Indoor with Humanoid Tracking, Infrared HD Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, SD Card Record, Support RTSP, FTP, PC, APP, 2.4/5 GHz WiFi

I added the scene and resource using RTSP

I see the view with no problem

I added PTZ controls to my OBS
Added Camera to the PTZ Controls using ip address and port 1259

I selected the camera in PTZ Control and hit preset 1 preset 2 and nothing happens hit the up and down left and right arrows nothing happens

On my iPhone I can move the camera using the cameras app. and my OBS Scene moves as the camera does.

I tried port 52381 no luck.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you

Tom

Does PTX Controls support ONVIF

My CAM is SV3C and PTZ does not control the CAM

I have the CAM on a Scene and it works great

I thought I saw somewhere that the ONVIF support was beta

I think in v0.16.0-test 2 listed on github onvif support is in beta

So, video works over RSTP, but PTZ control does not. Camera must support presets and camera movement over one of the IP-based protocols that the plugin also supports, like VISCA TCP or VISCA UDP. Then the IP address and port assigned to the camera must also be matched when you configure the camera for the plugin. I looked up that camera and have my doubts that you can control it from the plugin.

From my brief experience today: I've noticed the VISCA implementations used by different manufacturers, between models & firmware updates can vary greatly. PTZOptics talk about converting to HEX values, binary blobs, others use human readable cgi parameters (URL, over the local network), Canon zoom values make no sense. I assume it's hard to add proprietary features from different PTZ models without having physical access to find, program & bugfix using them. The manufactures rarely supply any detailed specification/guide for using these VISCA implementations to change parameters. Needs more support from manufacturers to improve their interoperability & then to assist the functionality of plugins like "PTZ controls".
Today, I started using my 1st Canon CR-N500 PTZ (1" is great) & wasted several hours because of no previous experience with PTZ, RTSP, VISCA. Previously used OBS & fixed cameras with USB based video capture devices, not my day job. Some other IT experience came in handy to troubleshoot. It would be easier if the manufactures added several examples to the software/web interface (uses the active settings to dynamically generate a few examples) & in the user guides. YMMV.

Hello everyone, I need some help. I am using a Camera from Minrray - model UV515 and connecting it to Windows through Com1, which works fine. However, when I add it to OBS, it freezes. Can anyone help me connect it to OBS?

Hello, this is my first time here.
At our church, we recently set up a SMATV camera with OBS and it's working fine. A friend came over yesterday and finally set up the PTZ Controls plug-in, so that we can use that instead of the handheld remote to operate the camera.
The controls work fine, and we can program the presets, and they work as well; but too well.
The camera now automatically moves to each preset position, from the first to the last, without stopping; then starts over again at the first preset. Pressing the home button on the PTZ controls panel always returns it to the Home position, but then it will begin moving to the presets, one after another without stopping. It's as if the PTZ controls have a demo mode. The only way we can keep control of the camera is to delete all the presets and not use them. Please help.
