Stream Music Displayer

Free Stream Music Displayer 0.1.0.0 Beta 2

This project is no longer supported and does not work!

This is a tool made for streamers who want to display their music on their stream.
It's based off of SMG, SMG was not working for me and it looks like the development was dead. So I made SMD (For All your "dirty mind"ers out there, I know haha).

*Requires .Net Framework 4.5*

What programs does it support?

Desktop music players:

  • Foobar2000
  • AIMP3
  • Winamp
  • VLC media player
  • Windows Media Player
  • Spotify
  • iTunes
  • Mediamonkey
  • Media Player Classic Home Cinema (mpc-hc)
Web music players:
  • Grooveshark
  • Youtube
  • Soundcloud
  • Pandora
  • Plug.dj
  • Zaycev.fm
  • 8tracks
Items in italics are web-apps, and are currently supported by chrome and Firefox.
All web music players require the groovemarklet, downloadable here.

Usage

1:
Extract SMD.zip

2: Run SMD.exe. A file called ‘current_song.txt’ will be created in the
directory where you installed it.

Or choose your own directory in the Configuration Window
If the file is not there, hit the start button and it should be there.

3: Create a text element in OBS or Xplit, then point the text source to the current_song.txt file.

Despite the description saying it no longer works, some music services do in fact still function. I use this for VLC and YouTube
No longer works with Spotify; developer seems to no longer be supporting it.
Does not work with the current Spotify version :[
こんなシンプルなツールを探してました。ありがとうございます!!;)
Doesn't work. Won't display anything for WInamp, When using WMP it only shows the first song and then gets stuck.
