How to stream DAW audio with an audio interface

This is something I've been trying to figure out how to do for a long time, and I just found a solution, and thought I'd share since judging by this:

I'm not the only one that had trouble figuring it out. It's pretty easy to setup once you know how to do it. So the solution I found is not virtual audio cables or anything like that, it's just a VST plugin:

In your DAW:
1. Put the plugin last on your master bus.
2. Set output to MME
3. Set MME Device to your normal non-asio audio driver (mine says Realtek, yours might too)
In OBS
4. Settings>Audio verify your non-asio driver is selected.

And, done. That's it.

Awesome, this is exactly what I wanted to do. Now I can use the sound card ASIO driver in the DAW for virtually no latency and the viewers can still listen to what I'm playing. Thanks a lot!

Sorry for reviving a semi-old thread but Sonar X3 will not pick up the Voxengo Recorder DLL for me

Now my OBS is getting signal from my DAW but I hear huge delay of the sound off on my own speakers.

I use Cubase and Lynx audio soundcards. Yes, that's plural; it's a long story. I tried using this system and had no luck; it totally fubar'd the sound. Perhaps it's because I am outputting 88.2 KHz and the computer's onboard sound only takes 44.1. Interestingly enough it looks like I can stream from Wavelab; I guess because it's using the MME-WDM driver.and outputting at 44.1? Any ideas?

I finally achieved a cubase mix at OBS. Anyone willing to help me configure red5 so I can stream the obs output?

Alright so.....I just got the Scarlette 2i2 today. How do I set this up from start to finish....i'm going nuts trying to figure it out o.o

I'm a little confused about step one.
Normally my bus is an 8 mono input (m-track eight) and two stereo outs
How do I set the plugin to one of these?

Also what folder did you install the .dll file in, just so I can make sure I put it in the right place



I should add I am running windows 10 and Cubase LE 8 elements 64 bit

I'm on a macbook pro, and need to know if there is a 64-bit plugin/VST3 I can use so I can stream my podcast audio through to Facebook live

Only prob with voxengo recorder is the latency, audio and video won't sync. Although with out need to add voxengo recorder to every project you can use VB Audio Cable and the asio bridge.
This way you can pull from your asio driver direct to a wdm driver and latency is a better 20 to 30ms, although this coudl be better or worse depending on machine spec.

You want the Hi-Fi CABLE & ASIO Bridge. as this has both the virtual audio driver and the asio bridge.

This tells you how to optimize the VB Cables Virtual device for better latency, so maybe some could get it down to as low as 4ms.

If your not bother about the latenxy from voxengo recorder or you get good latency then keep using that if it's working for you. This is only for people who need low latency so when they do on screen is in sync with the sound, plus for some a low buffer setting on voxengo recorder causes clicks and pops, where as vb audio and bridge handles better at a lower latency.

One more which is like using voxengo recorder, but comes with it's own virtual audio device, and has low latency is
O Dues ASIO Link, Pro version and Max Version, but they aint free.

I'm not sure if the 2 vst's wdm2vst and vst2wdm come with the basic version, but I know they do witht he pro.
Then you add like voxengo but you'd add vst2wdm on the master after a limiter or maximizer, then you just pull in the odeus audio device to OBS and ya routed.

From VB Audio, you can get VoiceMeeter too, which will let you mix many peoples mic audio with other applications audio etc, which is handy when having others live with you.

If you want to pull someone's cam directly into obs too you can get them to run Yawcam.

This can be pulled directly into your obs to add others into your shows.
You use browser source to pull in the ip cams.
