3D Effect

3D Effect 0.1.0

Hi all, I´ve made it having the plugin working on M1Max:

It was installed automatically on Library/Application Support/Obs-studio/plugins.
Now I moved to users/(myname)/Library/Application Support/Obs-studio/plugins and it's working!
But anyway maybe the installer is not correct, it souldnt be on that folder right?

Other thing: I would be very cool to have the selection in corners, it would be easier to make whatever 3d we would like :)

@andycute70 for me it works fine in OBS 29.1.1. Are you encountering any issues?
Yes, I embedded a scene and formed a group along with a couple of other sources (a graphic and a text), then tried to add 3D filter to the embedded scene (now source), and it won't do anything. It shows the settings but they do nothing at all. I guess my question is... Can I add the 3D filter to a source that's a member of a group? Let me clarify, I am not trying to add the filter to the entire group, but only to one source that is inside a group. I am trying to pin the corners to fit graphic, and I grouped them so I could move the entire group using your Move Transition plugin. I was able to do this with StreamFX, but I'm done using that plugin. See attached. Thanks!

Same issue - StreamFX doesn't work with recent release on my PC.
Whats more is the StreamFX git site seems to have lost all its files so I cant download a fresh installation.

Amazing plugin! Thank you for this!

I have a feature request--if this is the proper place to ask.

I believe the "3D" transformation can more easily be achieved for every user if there was an option to adjust each corner's X and Y values individually. Not only would it add simplicity, but it will add much more flexibility!

For instance:

Top Left: X px, Y px
Top Right: X px, Y px
Bottom Left: X px, Y px
Bottom Right: X px, Y px

Sure this may botch the original source's aspect ratio a bit, but I still think it would be an extremely helpful addition!

Any plans to possibly add that?

I actually found the solution. I had other filters active. It only worked when I moved the 3D filter to the end of the list. @Lord_Lethris @Exeldro
I think I am having the same problem. 3D effect stopped working on OBS 29.1. It is still listed in the filters list, but clicking the eye 'activate' button does not apply the filter. Unlike andycute70, I could not get it to work by moving it to the end of the list. However, I was able to get it to work, though only temporarily, by duplicating the filter. But the duplicate filter ceases to work if further change is made to the filters (for instance, if the original 3D effect filter is removed, or the duplicate one is moved around the list).

Some other filters, such as the blur filter (standalone version of the one from StreamFX), similarly stopped working, and in some of these cases, the filters are no longer listed in the pull down menu, so they cannot be added anew. I wonder if something changed about where OBS stores and/or how it accesses the filters.

I am on M1 MBP 2021, running Monterey 12.6.3.

this is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
only addition I'd love is the ability to shear along the x and y axes and it would be perfect.

Hello Exeldro, greetings from Brazil, thanks a lot for this great plugin! I would like to know if it's possible to also add a slider bar to the position menu, just like the rotation, the position option you added is exactly what I needed, but with the slider would be much faster than scrolling the numbers. I will post a print to show how I use my cameras, In this case, I have two cameras, duplicated and cropped to frame four people, the program is live, and usually they arrive just a few minutes before we go live, so I have to quickly cut and reposition the borders of the frames to align them in the center after they sit, with your plugin now I'm able to move the position of the camera inside the frame, without changing the external alignment of the frames, with the sliders it would much easier! Also I would like to know if it's possible to make an alignment tool, for example, if I have four image sources, I would like to distribute them side by side and evenly across the screen.

@Djteddystream the log indicates "mach-o file, but is an incompatible architecture (have 'x86_64', need 'arm64')", please try installing the universal or arm64 instead of the x86 version

I love this plugin! Thank you for everything you do for the community. As stated in previous posts, orthographic and shear options would make this plugin perfect.

After installing windows version (3d-effect-0.0.2-windows-installer.zip 3d-effect-installer.exe) in OBS (version 29.1.3 64bit), plugin is not visible in an obs/tools menu? Where is it? I find it in Program Files/obs-studio/obs-plugins/64bit/3d-effect.dll 3d-effect.pdb

Question, is there any reason the rotation limits are limited to -180 and 180? I would love to have a source doing a 360 x2 times and that requires using 4 filters instead of 2 with the current limit (or even more if i wanted it to spin more times).

Also a suggestions, this is more for the Move plugin but it is related I guess. Would you think about adding a way of allowing us to set an starting position for the movements? maybe a pair of check boxes:
1. Set starting point: Options appear to set the starting values of the animation
2. Set ending point: Options appear to set the ending values of the animation
This would allow us many use cases, like:
- If only the starting point is set, you move the source / values instantly to those initial values and then animate to where the source / values were
- If only the ending point is set then the behavior is the same we already have in the plugin
- If both are set, well, you move the source / values instantly to those initial values and then animate to the values of the ending point.
This would allow doing more complex animations with less filters set per source
Hope it's clear ^^U I know i can achieve the same result by adding a ""reset"" filter (that would act as the starting point), but the least filters and clutter the better. I think it wouldn't break current setups either since the starting point would be an opt in option and the ending points would be opted in by default to achieve "current behavior".

It's just a suggestion tho, great work on your plugins :)
